Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Product Data Technician, who will play a crucial role in the verification and transformation of data. You’ll be hands on with financial data, supporting with analytics dashboards, and work alongside the product team driving data-driven solutions to enhance our products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PRODUCT DATA TECHNICIAN;

  • Execute and maintain accounting ledger data processing workflows, ensuring accuracy in both verification and transformation processes
  • Develop and implement data anonymization protocols for client submissions to support test and development environments, while facilitating the creation of synthetic test data
  • Oversee and optimize internal Management Information systems and PowerBI dashboards to deliver actionable insights
  • Analyze and leverage Heap product analytics data to inform product development decisions and enhance user experiences
  • Provide comprehensive data manipulation, analysis, and reporting support to Product and Engineering teams to drive evidence-based decision making
  • Assist in the resolution of Product Incident tickets for customers during peak operational periods, ensuring timely and effective solutions
  • Identify data quality issues and implement remediation strategies to maintain data integrity across systems
  • Generate regular performance reports tracking key metrics and indicators for stakeholder review
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions

About you

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques
  • Keen to learn new data tools and technologies with a growth mindset
  • Motivated self-starter who can work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to spot trends and patterns in complex datasets
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Degree in a data or product related field (preferred but not essential)
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R would be advantageous but not required
  • Basic understanding of data visualization principles and tools like PowerBI
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client information
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
