JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Be up to date and be a leader in defining the state of the art in your own technical specialty to anticipate, apply, adapt, and/or develop technologies for product introduction, quality, performance, cost improvements, and problem-solving. Serve as a reviewer of new or improved designs to implement current design practices and lessons learned from prior projects. Assume a leadership role in the overall accomplishment of goals and in the management and development of team members.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Product Definition. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Aeronautical Engineering, or a similar field
  • Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position
  • Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English on any topic with few mistakes (mistakes that do not affect clear understanding). Must have fluency, rhythm, and sufficient self-confidence in the language to be able to handle meetings and conversations.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (ASME Y14.5M, or applicable) relative to the function.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate with Senior Leadership.
  • Capable of coaching others to accomplish assignments
  • Demonstrated ability in managing projects across functions
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing common goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
