EDUCATION

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Equivalent Undergraduate degree in related technical fields like Refrigeration, HVAC, Air Conditioning etc. will also be considered.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of full-time work experience in Engineering (Suppliers, Engineering or Manufacturing firms).
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time work experience in Refrigeration and/or HVAC systems
  • Experience of Product Development and Commercializing/Industrializing products from Concept to Production Launch
  • Comfortably work in a diverse work environment with little direction.
  • Strong oral and written communication and highly proficient in the English language.
    NOTE: Fresh Engineering graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities

Work Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
· Responsible to oversee the design and development of the commercial (preferred), residential or automotive refrigeration and/or HVAC systems.
· Must be very familiar with evaporator coil design, condensing coil design, compressors, fans, expansion devices, other A/C components, and mechanical methods to connect refrigeration systems in refrigerated cases manufactured at HMC.
· Use Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, and Design for Service principles for creating new Products and improving existing production
· Able to Design evaporator & condenser coils and Complete heat exchangers to meet A/C system and/or Refrigeration requirements. Perform component and system load calculations and equipment selection.
· Perform Complexity & Weight Reduction, Efficiency Improvements, Seamless Integration of all components into systems and systems into the final product.
· Ensure all designs, refrigeration units and their components designed, manufactured and tested for UL, NSF, and DOE regulations & compliance.
· Work with manufacturing refrigeration area to ensure all refrigeration systems are assembled & tested to HMC standards.
· Collaborate with vendors on new technologies on refrigeration systems. Works with alternate suppliers for technical qualification before resourcing.
· Use the test lab to optimize Cooling & Heating performance used in HMC products.
· Experience with CAD- 3D models & 2D drawings; SolidWorks software preferred.
· Create and/or Maintain Product & Systems Design Best Practices
· Partner with other departments to prepare tender packages for specific suppliers.
