Description

The world’s leading fishing tackle manufacturer Daiwa is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their Engineering team as a Product Design Engineer at the UK head office in Wishaw.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS;

  • Minimum HNC in Product design (or relevant Engineering discipline)
  • PC literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Experience of CAD, preferably Fusion 360 and Adobe Illustrator is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities
  • Working directly within the Design Engineering dept,
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders across Production, Quality and sales departments.
  • Design of fishing rod parts.
  • Preparation and control of fishing rod/pole prototypes.
  • Create documentation from painting to final assembly.
  • Preparation and review of relevant design and process documentation.
  • Delivery of design reviews within engineering KPI’s.
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to product innovation through research, prototyping and testing.
    To be considered for this role you should have a minimum of an HNC in product design or relevant engineering discipline. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working collaboratively in a team. You should also have good time management and organisational skills and be able to prioritise your workload.
