QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated experience in mechanical product design, ideally in heavy-duty or high-performance sectors
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks 2024
• Solid foundation in FEA, stress analysis, and design optimization
• Familiarity with metals, plastics, and manufacturing processes such as welding, casting, and machining
• Strong skills in GD&T, 2D drafting, and tolerance analysis
• Detail-driven approach and commitment to high-quality, long-lasting products

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop mechanical products for performance-intensive applications from concept through production
• Create precise 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks 2024
• Perform structural analysis and FEA simulations to optimize durability and safety
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure production-ready designs
• Build and test prototypes, gather data, and iterate based on real-world performance
• Select materials and surface finishes suitable for high-strength, high-use environments
• Prepare quality control documentation, inspection reports, and complete BOMs
• Work with suppliers and vendors to support prototyping and production
• Contribute to a continuous improvement culture with a focus on rugged design
