OVERVIEW

As part of the UX & Design team at Free Market Health, you will be responsible for design requirements, crafting elegant solutions, and validating designs based on user feedback and testing. We are a growing team in an energetic start-up environment. We are looking for a detail-oriented product designer that will contribute directly to shipping great user experiences and helping spread the value of good UX practices across the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-6 years of product and/or UX design experience in a software technology environment
  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating a strong design process and visual design skills
  • Experience spanning the entire lifecycle of the product design process
  • Passion for creating, maintaining, and contributing to a design system
  • Flexibility and motivation to thrive in a dynamic startup environment
  • Worked with teams of designers, engineers, and product managers
  • Healthcare technology experience is preferred
  • Ability to collaborate within a team and open to feedback
Responsibilities

The specific responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Conduct research and analyze our users’ habits and experiences
  • Hold yourself to high-quality standards, and when unsure, are proactive in requesting support, direction, or feedback
  • Work with and contribute quality patterns and documentation to our Strata Design System
  • Design beautiful and intuitive user interfaces while considering business requirements and technical constraints
  • Validate proposed solutions via user testing and synthesis, surveys, and data analysis
  • Effectively communicate proposed solutions
  • Create and maintain digital assets, including interface design files, wireframes, and mockups
  • Lend design expertise to support any business development effort
  • Brand awareness and advocate for brand standards
  • Uphold our design team values
  • Some travel may be required
