Description
The Product Designer’s main purpose is to create and introduce newly developed products at competitive prices for the company. They are required to make complete detailed Production drawings for each product, along with creating and maintaining Mood Boards. They have to be up to date about the new living furniture and lifestyle trends. Complete product knowledge of existing IWM products before working on new developments, with an awareness of competitors and their products. Modification of current designs as per feedback of Sales, Product, Marketing, etc. by identifying gaps in the design, analysing them and rectifying those gaps. Knowing and using design related software’s is the key for a contemporary Product Designer along with a good technical know-how. Auto Cad and IMOS are the two most important software’s for Product Designers at IWM. Concepts are created on 3DSMAX (or Cinema 4D) and all drawings on Auto Cad. Detailed drawings, Cutting Lists, and Quality Parameters are all provided by the R&D Product Designers. Also, we verify the Bill of Materials created by the costing for the product. Communication and coordination with other departments is a crucial part of development. Assist the Production Department wherever necessary in mass production of new developed product.
