Description
About Us Xflow is building the future of cross-border payments for businesses. We're a Pre-series A fintech company making it radically simpler for companies to receive payments from their international customers. Our design has been a competitive moat - we combine exceptional visual quality with thoughtful user experience to stand out in a complex, regulated industry. The Role We're looking for a Product designer to join our growing design team. We’re rethinking how financial products can be simple, delightful, and powerful and need someone who wants to think beyond current experiences. This is a high-ownership role where your work will directly impact how thousands of businesses move money globally. What You'll Do Core Responsibilities Design end-to-end user experiences Remove ambiguity through user research, prototyping, and iterative design Collaborate closely with product management, engineering and marketing Participate in design critiques The Design Work at Xflow You won't just be shipping features. You'll also be: Using data to identify friction points and validate improvements Exploring trend-backed design updates (micro-animations, delight factors) to keep our product fresh Sitting with user and sales teams to understand real problems Contributing to our product design system (components, patterns, documentation) What We're Looking For Experience & Skills 3-5 years of UX/product design experience in dealing with complex problems Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX work - present your thinking, not just final designs Understanding of user research methods and data-informed design Ability to work in complexity: Financial products are inherently complex; you should be comfortable with that Clear communication skills: You can articulate your design decisions and trade-offs to stakeholders AI as a Design Tool We're excited about designers who see AI as an amplifier, not a threat. You should be: Curious about AI tools and how they can speed up your work Comfortable experimenting with AI for anything that helps you work smarter Focused on judgment and craft - AI helps with execution, but your design thinking, taste, and decision-making are what matter We're not looking for AI expertise; we're looking for someone who's excited about the possibilities rather than scared of the repercussions. Our Design Culture How We Work One design team, multiple streams: We don't silo. Everyone knows what's happening across product, marketing, and design infrastructure work. High bar, high support: We maintain exceptional quality standards, and we help each other get there through regular critiques and feedback. Ownership and accountability: You'll own your work end-to-end. We trust you to make good decisions and speak up when something's not right. Design systems thinking: We build for consistency and scale, not just one-off solutions. Data-informed, not data-driven: We use analytics and user feedback to guide decisions, but design judgment matters. What We Value Have backbone: Stand by your design decisions if backed with clear rationale Articulate clearly: Explain your thinking, trade-offs, and constraints Design with purpose: Every decision should ladder to user or business value Take ownership: Own your work from concept to delivery Be accountable: Own your mistakes and learn from them Call out issues proactively: Don't wait for problems to escalate What You'll Get The Team You'll join a small, high-quality team: Pranav - Head of Design Prateek - Sr. Product Designer Sourav - Sr. Design Lead Kanishka - Sr. Visual Designer Work Environment Collaborative, feedback-rich culture Regular design critiques and knowledge sharing Cross-functional exposure (product, engineering, marketing, sales) Interview Process Intro conversation Portfolio presentation Design exercise Project presentation and critique Leadership conversation How to Apply Send us: Your portfolio (Figma links, case studies, or PDF): Show us 2-3 projects with your thinking, not just final designs A short note (3-4 sentences) on: Why you're interested in Xflow A recent design problem you solved and what made it interesting How you've used or thought about using AI in your design work We review applications on a rolling basis and will get back to you within 5 business days.
