We are currently seeking a highly motivated Product Developer to join the IFP Formulated Products & Compliance Team and will have the unique opportunity of being responsible for the entire end to end product development, including prototyping, process development, qualifications, claims and demos, supporting the innovation and renovation plans in the Moist Toilet Tissue and Hands & Face Wipes categories for EMEA.
We are looking for an individual who thrives in a multi-national and cross-functional environment and brings forward subject matter knowledge in the consumer formulated products space, as well as a solid understanding of relevant compliance & conformance requirements for regulated products. They will also have strong R&D project leadership capabilities, including solid communication & stakeholder management skills, collaboration & team working skills, driving for excellence and achieving results within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

THIS ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Providing product, process and formulation expertise to the team as new products are developed or renovating current products in the realm of Moist Toilet Tissue and Hands & Face Wipes
  • Influencing & partnering with IFP multi-functional teams to develop & deliver programs/projects that are consistent with our product strategies and leverage our competitive & consumer understanding to deliver against ABU needs
  • Working closely with the IFP R&D Compliance team to ensure adherence to regional and local Quality, Product Safety and Regulatory requirements
  • Leading initiatives to improve cost, quality, or converting performance in partnership with cross-functional Regulatory, Quality, and Product Supply teams.
  • Leading qualification or commercialization activities for identified solutions with a working knowledge of external contract manufacturing and supplier qualification processes for Moist Toilet Tissue and Hands & Face Wipes
  • Providing protection to technologies, processes, materials, and products through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.
  • Ensuring seamless handover to local teams to ensure an un-interrupted transfer of R&D project ownership through to launch, providing start-up support and on-going consultation on any in-market follow-ups & support
  • Identifying, leading and/or supporting product, material, or process projects

  • A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related major scientific field or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with significant experience in a variety of technical assignments in a professional R&D or engineering capacity
  • Strong product design/development experience and proven ability to translate consumer needs into product ideas, and then developing & qualifying products from technical & consumer point of view
  • Experience of providing R&D support to qualify new product start-ups & facilitate handover to Product Supply / External Contract Manufacturing
  • Track record of strong R&D project leadership capabilities, including solid communication & stakeholder management skills, as well as collaboration & team working skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in achieving results, process design and implementation, within required timeframes
  • Experience with tissue/wipes technologies and formulated products, including converting, new product commercialization, and regulatory compliance, with keen understanding of product scale up in manufacturing environment is preferre
