Illinois Casualty Company is seeking a Product Development Assistant to join our team! Work Location: Onsite – Rock Island, IL Pay Range: $21-$23/hour   The Product Development Assistant develops, writes, edits, audits, and maintains Company policies and procedures, forms, form letters, instruction guides, templates, training materials, and technical documentation. This position is responsible for regular review of all documents maintained in the Company’s document management program, and for necessary audit, research, and revision of those documents to ensure that they effectively address the Company’s current needs and policies, procedures, and standards. The Product Development Assistant will assist in the research and development of new products and/or enhancements to existing products to meet the changing needs of the Company and its customers, as well as with the preparation of general correspondence, training material, and presentations. This position will also have duties in the Premium Auditor role.    Essential Functions  * Gaining and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the Company’s document management program and performing routine maintenance to the Company’s document management program as required * Gaining a thorough knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and standards, and communicating and maintaining these standards for Company documents and procedures, including numbering of Company documents and keeping a record of assigned numbers * Writing, reviewing, editing, revising, and appropriate distribution of Company documents and templates * Providing assistance and support in the testing and documentation of various Company processes * Preparing and presenting training on Company-wide processes as assigned, including updating and presentation of the Product Development section of the Company Orientation program * Working to build and maintain a compliance matrix relative to Company products and processes, and a product knowledge base for internal use * Identifying opportunities to improve Company products and recommending appropriate action plans * Accurately examining policyholder payroll records and summarizing proper payroll and classifications to be used for determination of premium * Preparing and submitting audits according to Company procedures on a timely basis * Maintaining a high level of communication with other appropriate departments of any conditions or changes in operations or finances discovered during the audit which could adversely impact the Company * Additional duties as assigned   Qualifications  * High school education or equivalent required; associates degree and a minimum two years related experience preferred * Previous training experience and experience with public speaking a plus * Previous state filing experience a plus * Intermediate to high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook * Ability to quickly learn new programs and processes * Ability to read, analyze and interpret information * Above average writing skills – knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation and structure * Above average skill in expressing ideas and information clearly, concisely and accurately, both orally and in writing * Ability to interpret, follow, and formulate written, oral, and visual instructions * Above average organizational and time management skills * Comfortable with public speaking and training of others * Flexible and responsive to change   Best In Class Benefits * Comprehensive health and pharmaceutical plan with company-funded HRA and telemedicine * A la carte Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, and Accident insurance coverages * Lifestyle Account  * Traditional and Roth 401k plans with company match * Modified workweek and generous PTO policy * Paid parental leave
