JOB OVERVIEW

LAT Apparel is looking for a motivated Product Development Assistant to support our Product Development/Design teams. We are searching for a passionate individual who is excited to join our mission and help us bring our elevated products to market. The ideal candidate should have a background in the Apparel/Textile Design or related field, have knowledge of the product development process, as well as basic knowledge of trims, fabrics, color, and overall garment construction as it relates to the apparel industry. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Product Development Team to execute the seasonal design development process, from concept to client delivery.
  • Preparation of any presentations for meetings in conjunction with the Product Manager, including ordering supplies, making presentations, packing boxes, merchandising the RS showroom, etc
  • Assist in market research with competitive shops & analysis.
  • Assist in the follow-up with vendors on sample due dates and track samples through WIP report
  • Track and ensure proper labeling of all PD Library swatches and samples
  • Track, receive, unpack and organize all samples.
  • Pack and send packages of samples for development reference to factories as needed.
  • Build and Edit sketches as needed.
  • Support the development and maintenance of tech packs within PLM
  • Add new colors and materials to PLM as needed.
  • Assist with fitting samples on Form and Model as needed.
  • Photograph samples on forms for review by PD team and utilize StyleShootz machine to take professional photographs for use in presentation decks.
  • Carry out edits and updates to linesheets as needed.
  • Manage Lab Dip process from request to comments for both new and existing colors and materials.
  • Various daily organizational tasks
