PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electronic circuitry, component-level troubleshooting, and soldering skills.
  • Experience: Experience in working with electronics, particularly in the manufacturing or repair of electronic devices.
  • Education: Typically, a minimum of an associate’s degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency: Familiarity with reading schematics and electronic engineering documentation.
  • Certifications: Certifications in soldering (e.g., IPC) are often advantageous.
  • Experience in the electronics or semiconductor industry can be a plus.
  • Role involves collaborating with other engineers / technicians and external vendors.
  • 5+ years experience in relevant skills

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Mainly to diagnose and repair electronic components and systems, which includes but not limited to the following:

  • disassembling and reassembling equipment
  • identifying and replacing faulty components
  • conducting functional tests to ensure proper operation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Identifying and repairing faults in PCB assemblies, including component-level repairs and rework.
  • Component Rework: Performing soldering and rework on both through-hole and surface-mount components.
  • Documentation: Providing fault information and repair records and maintaining SOPs for repair/rework operations.
  • Testing and Measurement: Using various test and measuring equipment, such as LCR meters and oscilloscopes, to diagnose and repair issues.
  • Parts Management: Handling parts teardown, re-assembly, re-certification, and qualification.
