OVERVIEW

We are adding to our Engineering Team and are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Product Development Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing innovative products that meet our customers’ needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products are developed efficiently and effectively, from concept through to production.

POSITION SUMMARY

Collaborate with the Product Development Engineer to design, improve, and release new products that align with our mission of innovation and quality. This position will play a key role in driving the development of cutting-edge solutions for the HVAC and refrigeration industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Formal Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Good understanding of Thermodynamics
  • Extensive and demonstrated application experience in Solid works & AutoCAD.
  • VB.NET programming skills an asset.
  • Good communication skills in the English language (written and verbal)
  • Impeccable attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and prototyping of new products to meet market needs and company goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing product lines in terms of performance, cost, and manufacturability
  • Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) & drafting workstations.
  • Generate Bill of materials for approved drawings using ERP system.
  • Complete Product design work packages and produce drawings for Production Release.
  • Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
  • Ensure manufacturability of the components released.
