Description
Serve as a Product Development engineer responsible for 10 speed RWD and RWD hybrid propulsion systems and the specific transmission components and assemblies Take ownership of the system & components, work hand in hand with specific component engineers Work with Ford analytical teams, component engineers and suppliers to define component duty cycles Lead teams through validation of components and sub-assemblies. Create Design Verification Plans to track test completion and status. Lead root cause investigations Setup and complete pre-program Failure Mode Analysis documentation. Lead waste reduction and cost reduction studies to meet corporate objectives. Complete design assessments including design rules, requirements, assembly stacks, print updates. Must be in Livonia Michigan 4 days a week or more depending on specific testing/hardware needs. Must be approved to travel globally. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in engineering 1+ years of experience in operating efficiency or benchmarking comparison studies 1+ years of experience with project management CAD & Model based systems engineering tools experience preferred but not required. Can be an entry level developmental engineering position, specific experience not required. Component design and release experience
