Job Title: Product Development Engineer Location: SPI Santiago Schedule: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday / Friday until 3:30 pm Working Model: On-site GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF JOB: Give general follow-up to the development of the sample from the moment it arrives at the department until the first order is placed in the module, ensuring that all the requirements requested by the client are faithfully met. Develop inherent activities of the engineering department, which support other departments, ensuring that the objectives of the organization are met. Provides help and assistance in all the activities related to the department. RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Follow up on program execution and sample development in general. * Prepare BOM of the new products for quotation and then carry out subsequent evaluations of real consumption. * Prepare specification of the new products, this must include instructions on: construction, measurements, packaging and special indications. * Develop own engineering projects that contribute to cost improvements and material savings. * Oversee the development of new materials to ensure optimal performance and quality standards. * Prepare specification of the new products, this must include instructions on: construction, measurements, packaging and special indications. JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS: Note that (i) computer literacy and working-level skill with the basic MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer), (ii) good verbal and written communication skills, (iii) good interpersonal skills, and (iv) the ability to work well both individually and in a team environment are default requirements for all Jostens exempt and salaried nonexempt employees. Required: * Term Industial Engineer college student * Bilingual English/Spanish * MS Office Proficiency. Preferred: * Associate degree in fashion design, manufacturing, engineering.
