job summary:
We are seeking a Product Development Engineer with expertise in pump and filtration design and functionality. This individual will play a key role in leading the company toward the next generation of innovative products while improving existing designs. Additionally, the Product Develoment Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and updating all engineering documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.

responsibilities:

  • Update and modify existing drawings, plans, and build books efficiently
  • Create new drawings, plans, and build books based on initial concept discussions
  • Maintain and ensure all engineering documentation, including drawings/plans and build books, are current and accurate
  • Evaluate manufacturing layouts, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, and assembly methods for optimal cost-effective solutions
  • Create and build prototypes (e.g., through 3D printing, CNC machining) to validate design concepts and test functionality
  • Troubleshoot product issues, identify root causes, and develop actionable solutions
  • Conduct quality tests to validate the reliability of new and existing products.
  • Work independently in a continuous improvement environment, providing actionable engineering solutions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 4+ years of practical experience using SolidWorks or similar engineering software.
  • 4+ years of experience with AcctVantage or other ERP software.
  • Experience with diesel engines, generators or diesel pumps a plus
  • Independent thinker with a self-motivated, self-starting attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Leadership qualities with a take-charge attitude in engineering tasks.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to adapt and reprioritize.
  • CNC programming and operational experience is a plus
