Description

Product Development Manager – Intimate Apparel
Leading Intimate Apparel company seeking a Product Development Manager to oversee the full product lifecycle—from design concept through bulk production. This role requires strong product development expertise, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of garment construction to ensure quality, cost, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily communication with overseas vendors to track all fabric, color, sample, and packaging submissions.
  • Review and comment on samples (fabric, color, fit, packaging) to ensure they meet design intent and quality standards.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to Design to prevent production issues.
  • Maintain accurate tech packs, BOMs, and PLM updates throughout the process.
  • Monitor the production calendar (Time & Action/WIP) to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Submit TOPs and packaging for approval across licensors, in-house, and private label brands.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams daily (Design, Sales, Technical Design, Production) to align on product updates.
  • Keep PLM, material libraries, and sample libraries organized and up to date.
  • Drive process improvements, explore new fabrics/techniques, and resolve product issues creatively.
  • Support a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Report directly to the VP of Product Management & Technical Design. 

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of apparel product development experience (Intimates preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and product development processes.
  • Skilled in managing Time & Action calendars and WIP reports.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and PLM systems; Mandarin a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Fashion Design, or related field preferred.
