QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE / SKILLS):
o Minimum 5 years of professional experience in product development within the food processing industry.
o Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field.
o Previous experience with Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS).
o Strong knowledge of Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulatory requirements for food labelling and production.
o Experience drafting, editing work procedures, SOPs, and HACCP plans.
o Understanding of food manufacturing - including product, process, systems, and equipment - to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.
o Ability to manage change and respond proactively and positively.
o Effective collaboration and communication with multiple stakeholders.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Vehicle required (location is not transit accessible).
o Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen.

THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced Product Development QA Manager to collaborate with sales and operations in developing new seafood products, enhancing current offerings, and improving quality processes at our Delta facility.
Key responsibilities include:
· Informing internal stakeholders of relevant food safety standards.
· Ensuring compliance with product and process specifications.
· Reporting project progress to involved departments
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Lead the development of new value-added seafood products from concept to launch, working with a cross-functional team
o Analyze new product requirements and develop QA processes.
o Ensure successful product launches; identify risks, report on implementation, and post-launch results
o Design, lead, and participate in plant and consumer tests
o Work with operations to investigate quality issues related to equipment, processes, ingredients, and formula compliance
o Determine shelf-life of ingredients, products in progress, and finished goods through studies and testing
o Evaluate supplier raw materials for consistency with specifications and assist in selecting new suppliers
o Maintain and audit written product formulas to ensure consistent yields and quality
o Keep accurate and timely records of product and process improvements
