Description Type: Non-exempt Department: Hospital Services Work Days/Hours: 30+ hours per week Reports to: Product Management Manager Location: Positions available at JEDC and VDC Pay Range: $17-$24/hour Pay Grade: 4 Work Modality: On-site Job Summary This position is focused on ensuring the efficient and courteous delivery of blood and blood products to hospital partners and/or other agencies across the Central California Blood Center service area. Essential Responsibilities Transport blood/blood products to hospital partners. Pickup and delivery of blood product orders, specimens, equipment, supplies to facilities across Fresno, Mariposa, Merced, Kings, and Tulare counties and may travel outside of this region as needed. Resolves and/or escalates issues with delivery and/or access to products. Cultivate positive hospital relationships. Maintain accurate records. Identify potential hospital service issues and implement proactive intervention measures. Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations, including blood handling process. Immediately report any compliance issues to department management. Monitor and maintain Hospital Services vehicles, updating records and charts as necessary. Attend all 1:1 and department meetings as scheduled. Demonstrates alignment with and adherence to the company’s core values in all interactions, decisions, and work activities; serves as a role model for fostering a positive, respectful, and ethical workplace culture This position requires consistent, on-time attendance in accordance with company policy. Excessive tardiness or absenteeism may impact performance and employment status. Requirements Qualifications and Skills Education/Licenses/Experience High school diploma or GED. One year of customer service experience or prior courier experience, preferred Must have a valid California driver’s license, and a clean driving history with no major violations in the last five years. Skills Previous experience in customer service or a related field preferred. Excellent ability in providing professional, efficient, and friendly service. Must be self-motivated and a team player. Ability to coordinate with other departments on client-related matters. Willingness to accept additional hours where necessary to meet operational needs.
