Your Role In your daily job you will: Perform 2D and 3D mechanical design for automotive components in accordance with customer and internal requirements. Prepare and release customer-responsive drawings, specifications, and preliminary Bills of Materials (BOM). Maintain and update GSD data and related engineering databases to ensure data accuracy and traceability. Conduct design reviews and support lesson-learned activities to enhance design quality and development efficiency. Manage Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processes throughout product development and mass production phases. Support mechanical development activities in collaboration with product engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. Ensure effective technical communication and coordination with Aptiv global engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders. Comply with internal engineering standards, development processes, and documentation requirements. Your Background Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Experience in 2D/3D mechanical design within the automotive or manufacturing industry. Proficiency in mechanical CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, Creo, or equivalent). Experience in preparing engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation for customer release. Knowledge of ECR/ECN processes and engineering change management. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a structured approach to problem-solving. Effective communication skills in a global engineering environment. Why join us?
