PRODUCT ENGINEER- SWORDS

Our client, a leading company in the medical device industry, is seeking a Product Engineer to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-complexity, and regulated environment, providing technical support for manufacturing and testing of medical instrumentation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (QQI Level 8) with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Alternative degrees may be considered with significant technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in complex technical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing, mechanical/electromechanical, and systems design.
  • Experience with test method characterization and validation, backed by statistical knowledge.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Ability to integrate technical, design, and manufacturing expertise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional and cross-site product optimization projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize large datasets for decision-making.
  • A proactive and creative mindset, with a strong ability to take initiative.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on technical support for the manufacturing and testing of medical device instrumentation in a low-volume, high-complexity environment.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve product reliability and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing operations, quality, procurement, and logistics to drive product and supply chain improvements.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering design changes within an evolving change management framework.
