Description
Overview The raster and imagery software development team in Sharjah R&D Center is actively seeking applications for a dynamic, challenging, and exciting Product Engineering position with Python experience. In this role, you will work with colleagues across Software Development in the design, testing, documenting, and release of new capabilities in Python API for ArcGIS, as well as arcpy API. As a Python Product Engineer, you will collaborate with other product engineers and development engineers to help us design, build, test and deliver compelling Pythonic functionality across our products. If you are passionate about working with Python, have a deep understanding of Python design principles, and can communicate effectively via writing and presentations, this is the place to be! Responsibilities Create scripts that exercise the Python API for building workflows, analyzing data, and extracting information from imagery in Python environments like Jupyter Notebook Automate the workflows to execute in various environments and on multitude of datasets Participate in design discussions to build an architecturally sound Python API Develop and implement test plans and test cases, monitor test results from regression tests, and investigate and report failures to development team Collaborate with team members to author help articles, API documentation and blog articles to present examples of using the Python API Test and document image analysis capabilities for multiple image modalities in Python across ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise on Windows and Linux, and ArcGIS Enterprise for Kubernetes Requirements 1+ years of experience working with Python language Experience in one or more of these disciplines: remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry, or image analysis Excellent problem-solving, design, and troubleshooting skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or related field Recommended Qualifications Experience with ArcGIS API for Python and/or ArcPy Experience with architecting test frameworks, testing patterns, unit test libraries and writing automated tests Effective project management, time management, and organizational skills Proven ability to build and deliver quality software in a team environment #LI-PK1 #LI-Onsite The Company At Esri, diversity is more than just a word on a map.
