Job Description
This position will coordinate, and support, product development changes as required within the Waterloo, IA cabinet line portfolio. This position will be instrumental in supporting business requirements for new product development, product changes and continuous improvement. The position will provide frequent interaction with multiple MasterBrand departments including Product, Digital Technology, Operations and Materials. This position will also support the bill of materials system specialists in developing flexible capacity of product configuration, product and system integration projects, and support continuous improvement of MasterBrand business systems. This position is a non-supervisory role with the ability to lead a cross-functional team in projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Manufacturing or a technical field is minimally required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a technical field is highly preferred.
  • 1+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of project management.
  • Proficiency with AutoCad is required.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor and i-logic parametric modeling is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of product Bill of Materials and production systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Self-starting, self-directing with limited supervision and ability to foster teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Develop project plans for new products, product changes and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaboration with Product Development, Customer Service and Operations.
  • Ability to work with multiple cabinet brand’s business systems & product structures by engaging in cross-training to create flexible capacity / team strength.
  • Understand shop floor paperwork, drawings and material lists.
  • Assist the product team in determining manufacturing processes, product implementation and training.
  • Attend weekly product team meetings and complete actions as assigned.
  • Support the evaluation of product-related production problems and provide technical support on materials and commodities with Sourcing, Quality, Finance, Marketing, and other departments as required.
  • Help to establish organizational culture of continuous improvement, utilizing daily management, standard work, and A3 Thinking.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned at management’s discretion.
  • Ability for occasional travel as business needs require.
