Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. Responsible to deliver robust manufacturing solutions in assembly, adjustment, and qualification of respective sub-system. Provide OPS engineering support to ensure NPI deliverables for different phases. Engage with R&D to influence margin improvement and design DFX. Support early MFG cost analysis and identify cost reduction opportunity. Oversee the work of MPa engineers and suppliers to extend breadth of contribution. Responsible for qualification of process tooling and production part qualification. Support MFG after SOR, provide engineering leadership to our partners and customers. Take over product ER after SOR+3M. Develop MPa engineering capability. Reduce product quality incidents and improve overall end-customer experience of Inkjet Printers. Work closely with partners from R&D, CDPS, MPa, MMOPS and Quality team to drive yield rate improvement. Drive cost reduction to meet the target of operation excellence. Ability to handle most unique situations. Microsoft office suite skills (PPT, Word, Excel). ME/EE background, ME/EE drawing reading and updating skills (CREO, AutoCAD, etc.). Data driven, uses metrics to achieve results (goal oriented). Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving skills and decision making. Influences MPa to increase performance and achieve committed results. Effective assessment of product stability and technical risk at each phase and decision point in the product life cycle. Plastic and metal component engineering expertise. Takes accountability and drives problems to closure. Manufacturing and Supply Chain expertise. Design and optimize manufacturing line process (Flow, yield, quality, repeatability, labor, automation). Engineering breadth of expertise (Mechanical, electrical/scan, tooling, process, integration). Effective engineering collaboration with R&D (Design reviews, DFM). Statistical Process Control Fundamentals. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Typically 4-6 years experience.
