PRODUCT ENGINEER

As a product engineer, you share responsibility with the R&D colleagues for improving existing products and designing and testing new ones. Activities range from devising and elaborating various product modifications to developing new mechanical and hydraulic constructions. You are involved in every phase of the product development process: concept generation, development, validation, homologation, and product launch. Projects may take place across multiple departments within the organization and can range in duration from a few days or weeks to over a year. You maintain close contact with colleagues in Portugal and Germany, and are therefore willing to travel occasionally.
This position is primarily office-based, with occasional responsibilities involving the preparation and execution of tests. You will have the opportunity to work in a small team that supports smooth collaboration and a positive work environment. It allows you to develop greater independence and take ownership of a wide variety of tasks. You will enjoy the freedom to contribute your own ideas and see the measurable results of your work, making a direct impact on the success of the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

You are a team player with a multidisciplinary mindset. You enjoy taking initiative and working independently. You have completed a technical education or hold a degree in Automotive Engineering or another relevant technical field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering), combined with experience in the automotive industry or a strong interest in automotive technology.
Ideally, you meet the following criteria:
· Completed technical education with a bachelor’s-level thinking
· 0–10 years of relevant work experience
· Proficient in 3D modelling (e.g. Creo)
· Skilled in creating 2D technical drawings
· Experience working with PLM systems is a plus
· You master the English language fluently (Dutch, Portuguese or German is a plus)
· Affinity with mechanics and hydraulics
· Familiarity with ERP packages is a plus
· Relevant work experience is an advantage
· Pragmatic, goal-oriented, and hands-on in your approach

· Implementing product changes (modelling, drawing, parts lists)
