Description

This is a remote position. Product Expert – Law Enforcement Location: North America / Remote First Due is seeking a tech-savvy law enforcement specialist to help build First Due’s law enforcement (LE) solution as a Product Expert. The LE Product Expert will be the subject-matter expert on First Due's law enforcement module(s), providing industry-leading leadership, guidance, and support as First Due continues to expand its best-of-breed end-to-end public safety platform into the law enforcement vertical. Note: we will consider full-time and part-time candidates for this role. Key Responsibilities As a Product Expert (Law Enforcement), you will: · Act as the subject matter expert for the law enforcement area of the product by having in-depth knowledge of functionality, configuration, and industry best practices for police and law enforcement operations within the First Due platform. · Build and use a full understanding of the features being developed in current and future sprints as well the product roadmap and overall product vision for law enforcement capabilities to support Implementation, Customer Success, and other customer-facing First Due groups. · Maintain awareness of support tickets and requests coming in from law enforcement agencies and assist with handling those requests as needed · Work closely with the Product Manager and Product Owner to maintain awareness of law enforcement product progression; provide input and assist with ideation and solutioning for law enforcement-specific product development. · Serve as the primary point of contact between the product organization and law enforcement customers and customer-facing teams · Assist the Sales team with presentations and discussions for current and potential law enforcement agency customers · Work with the Implementation team in solutioning and configuring the product to meet the specific needs of police departments and law enforcement agencies · Troubleshoot and prioritize incoming requests from law enforcement customers in cooperation with the Support team. · Assist the Client Success team with ensuring law enforcement customer satisfaction and support upsell opportunities within the vertical · Triage enhancement requests and conduct research (internally and with law enforcement agencies) to fully understand and identify high value, high impact capability uplifts for police operations · Participate in law enforcement user group meetings both virtually and in person as schedule permits · Develop a deep understanding of competitors' capabilities within the law enforcement software space. Requirements Qualifications and Experience · Experience in law enforcement software or police operations ( 5 years with at least 1 year of supervisory/scheduling experience required) · Understanding of law enforcement workflows including but not limited to: incident reporting, records management, evidence management, CAD integration, and officer scheduling · Ability to interpret law enforcement agency requests, determine the desired end state and provide a straightforward path to the most efficient solution · Strong analytical and critical thinking skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity (approximately 15-25 hours per week) · Flexibility to attend occasional meetings outside standard hours to accommodate law enforcement agency schedules We welcome a diverse workforce!
