Role Summary We are seeking a product leader to own the end-to-end charter of Apna’s Job Marketplace—driving strategy, execution, and innovation across both sides of the platform: employers and candidates. This role is accountable for marketplace health, product velocity, and unlocking scalable 0→1→N growth systems. Location: Bengaluru (Onsite) Function: Product & Marketplace Leadership Reports to: CEO, Job Marketplace Key Responsibilities: Marketplace Product Ownership: Define and execute product strategy across demand (employers) and supply (jobseekers) to improve matching efficiency, hiring outcomes, and engagement. Leadership & Org Building: Lead PMs, AD–Product, Design, and Analytics. Build a strong bench, groom successors, and scale a high-output product organisation. Strategy + Execution: Translate business goals into clear product roadmaps; drive velocity, prioritization, and operational rigor across teams. Cross-Functional Influence: Work closely with Engineering, Growth, Sales, Operations, and Leadership to deliver outcomes, not just features. Data-led Decisioning: Use experimentation, insights, and analytics to drive marketplace health metrics (activation, liquidity, retention, success rates). Customer Understanding: Build deep empathy for employers and India’s mass-market workforce to shape solutions that are simple, reliable, and scalable. Innovation & Scale: Identify big bets, 10x opportunities, and structural fixes that unlock exponential growth for the marketplace. What We’re Looking For 10–12+ years of product leadership in large-scale consumer internet/marketplace businesses. Strong understanding of two-sided marketplace dynamics and growth levers. Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams (PM, Design, Analytics) with clarity and accountability. A rare blend of strategic depth + execution excellence; able to operate at both 30,000 ft and ground level. Proven success in scaling products, improving funnel and engagement metrics, and shipping fast with high quality. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
