ROLE: Inspection Finishing Operator
LOCATION: Boston, PE20
HOURS: Rotating 2-week pattern: Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00
PAY: Up to £27,000 per annum
CONTRACT: Permanent

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience as an Inspection Finisher (desirable)
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate or quickly learn to operate various printing machines and related software
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively within a team
• Commitment to quality and safety standards

Work Location: In perso

• Load specified master reels according to job bag and reel identification labels
• Print inner/outer core labels and any other required customer traceability labels
• Select and fix the correct mandrel and source the correct core size to meet customer specifications
• Set blades to slit reels to the relevant width while following health and safety procedures
• Operate AVT inspection systems to ensure removal of any substandard print within the master reels
• Maintain quality of slitting throughout the production run
• Remove finished reels from the rewind machine and label with the relevant core and reel end information
• Ensure all reels are labelled according to company and customer requirements
• Perform line clearance procedures thoroughly after each job, retaining line clearance joins as required
• Carry out equipment maintenance and calibration as part of routine operations
