Description
Lead the Perception System Engineering group Responsible for setting performance targets for next generation perception systems Support current generation systems through root cause analysis, incremental development, and launches Execute strategic visions throughout product lifecycle to improve time to market of new algorithms Guide and mentor team on quality improvements, forward design thinking, and trade off analysis Represent the ADAS perception team in global stakeholder reviews with studio, vehicle architecture, hardware, software, features, body, and more Support validation, verification of system documents such as interface and perception requirements utilizing novel methods to chase the long-tail of performance use-cases Define data collection and restimulation targets as well as analyze and sign off performance from physical and virtual testing Collaborate on developing new efficient methods of data labeling, statistical analysis, and data collection methods Own ADAS Perception System requirement documents for common implementations across the design domain Drive competitive benchmarking and emerging technology reviews to ensure Ford maintains a leadership position in ADAS Systems Support downstream customers such as Vehicle Operations and Vehicle Programs to support vehicle launches Collaborate with other internal Product Development teams and suppliers to define and execute relationships and information exchange strategies Drive collaborative solutions to concepts and defects across multiple domain teams including features, hardware, software, functional safety, cyber security and verification & validation Support verification & validation efforts with internal teams and suppliers to ensure requirement and design-intent compliance and quality Develop and provide regular status updates and health metrics to upstream and downstream stakeholders, including management and implementation teams Deliver System requirements, concepts, and architectural models to Implementation Teams Ensure robustness, reliability and safety through design reviews, system analyses and testing Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, or Computer Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience 5+ years of experience in ADAS, aerospace, or automotive system engineering 5+ years of experience with products in mass production 2+ years of experience in requirement authoring 5+ years of experience with systems based on mass produced sensors such as Ultrasonics, Radars, or Cameras 10+ years of experience with ADAS systems 5+ years of experience with GPDS and program deliverables 5+ years of experience with ADAS Perception, Sensing, or Control systems 5+ years of experience with system architecture, design, and documentation 5+ years of people leadership Strong communication skills and ability to lead ad-hoc teams For more information on salary and benefits, click here: https://fordcareers.co/LL6SP2 Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
