About the job

Your tasksAs a Product Manager at Chore-Time you are responsible for the development and complete life cycle of products for the international laying sector, consisting of laying hens, rearing and parent stock. You determine how the product portfolio for the international laying sector will develop in the coming years. You stand at the intersection of market and engineering: you gather insights from customers, integrators and other market parties and translate these into concrete product strategies and development proposals. You not only look at technical possibilities, but also at market potential, pricing and returns. In this way you give direction to the products and systems with which Chore-Time will remain distinctive in the future.

You know the market, understand what customers need and translate these insights into a clear product vision and roadmap. You form the connecting link between customers, sales, marketing and engineering. You look ahead, substantiate choices with market data and ensure that new and existing products add demonstrable value for customers and Chore-Time.

  • You follow developments in the international poultry market and translate short- and long-term expectations into a clear product strategy and roadmap.
  • You actively maintain contact with customers and integrators, research market needs and translate these into concrete product requirements, specifications and priorities.
  • You manage the entire product life cycle: from new product concepts and further development to the phased withdrawal from the market and replacement of existing product lines.
  • You work intensively with engineering, sales, marketing and customer support and supervise product developments and product introductions from concept to market.
  • You build business cases for new product developments and substantiate these with market potential, expected volumes, pricing, investment needs and returns for the international organization.

  • What are you taking with you?A completed bachelor's degree in, for example, business administration, engineering/technology, marketing, agriculture or a similar field; an MBA is an advantage.

  • Experience in product management is highly desirable, but an experienced poultry professional who can make the step to product management is also interesting.
  • Strong technical affinity and sufficient insight into stable systems to be able to translate market needs into technical solutions; you don't have to be an engineer for this.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills and the ability to connect different interests and involve stakeholders in choices.
  • An independent and strategic working attitude, persuasiveness and excellent professional English. You are willing to travel worldwide; Depending on the period, this can amount to approximately 50% of your working time.
