WHAT YOU WILL DO

Raytheon is seeking an experienced Product Line Lead Engineer to support multiple production programs. This role integrates advanced manufacturing process improvement strategies with test automation, yield enhancement, and data-driven decision-making to optimize manufacturing and test processes and performance.
As a Product Line Lead Engineer, you’ll be responsible for leading and driving the technical strategic direction, execution and continuous improvement of our production programs. You’ll work cross-functionally to develop innovative test methodologies, improve production processes and ensure operational excellence that aligns with Raytheon goals and industry best practices.
If you have leadership experience in the areas of test engineering and manufacturing process improvement with a track record of driving yield improvements, efficiency gains and quality enhancements in defense and aerospace production environments, this opportunity may be just what you’re looking for.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Developing and implementing innovative test automation and data-driven strategies to improve reliability, throughput, and yield.
  • Collaborating with design, quality, and operations teams to integrate Design for Testability and process control improvements into production.
  • Working closely with the Engineering Integrated Product Team and Test Development engineering to ensure new products meet manufacturability and testability requirements.
  • Serving as the lead authority on manufacturing test yield improvement initiatives, driving cost reduction and quality enhancements through the product line.
  • Utilizing CORE and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to optimize test process efficiency and reduce defects.
  • Driving process standardization and best practices across the product line to improve first-pass yield, reduce cycle time, and enhance test coverage.
  • Leading Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes to mitigate failure modes and improve production performance.
  • Representing Production Test Engineering at the Program/Operation level, in Test Equipment Release to Production reviews, failure review boards and continuous improvement initiative forums.
  • Providing technical leadership in hardware debugging and troubleshooting complex test failures.
  • Providing reports and status updates as required to program management, operations, engineering, and the customer.
