Product Line Intern – Defense Distribution Location: Wood Dale, IL Program Dates: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026 Join our Defense Distribution team at AAR’s global headquarters in Wood Dale for an exciting 10-week summer internship. As a Product Line Intern, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to real projects, and gain meaningful exposure to the aerospace and defense industry. What you'll be responsible for: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that drive impact across AAR and the Defense Distribution business. Evaluate new product line opportunities and support bid preparation and analysis. Leverage your skills to manage and interpret data across various applications, processes, and databases. Strengthen your professional growth and explore future career paths within AAR through hands-on learning and mentorship. Performance Objectives: Learning & Development: Engage in learning sessions and mentorship opportunities with leaders and subject matter experts throughout the organization. Project Management: Take ownership of a real-world AAR project from start to finish. Work collaboratively with fellow interns to design actionable solutions and present your findings to AAR Leadership. Business Acumen: Gain a deep understanding of how a global organization operates—learning the inner workings of the Defense Distribution division and the broader aerospace and defense industry. What you need to be successful in the role: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, entering senior year and graduating in December 2026 or Spring 2027 Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher. Familiarity with the aviation industry and/or government contracting is a plus. Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
