City Wonders is seeking a Destination Management Coordinator (Product Coordinator) to support business growth. This role reports to a centralised ‘Shared Services’ business function, providing support to our Destination Management Dept. Following the direction of the assigned Destination Manager the Coordinator will work collaboratively with multiple departments in the business including Operations, Guide Scheduling & Purchasing, supporting daily Destination management tasks for a specific destination.

What will you be responsible for every day in City Wonders?

  • Maintaining relationships with all departments in City Wonders, including Operations, Purchasing, and Guide Scheduling while completing daily operational tasks
  • Supporting daily operations and relationship of some venues and suppliers.
  • Familiarization with logistical operations including understanding ticketing requirements for key venues in order to better support the goals of the assigned Destination Manager and Supervisors
  • Management of product files, including food, beverage & transport details upon approval from the assigned Destination Manager.
  • Ensuring data & pricing is live for our own website and distribution partners.
  • Support with Ad-Hoc and Quarterly Product changes, updating internal documents. Ensuring deadlines are met and instructions are clear and accurate for all teams. Verify that all changes are properly implemented by all teams.
  • Provide vacation/sick leave coverage for other DM Coordinators/Supervisors/Managers when required
  • Jump occasionally “on the field” to go on tours to provide reports about the operations, quality, suppliers’ support, etc
  • Travel around Italy might be required occasionally for product purposes
  • Other relevant duties as assigned by your Destination Manager or direct line manager

Have you got the City Wonders skills and fit?

  • Must reside in Rome
  • Must be fluent in Italian and fluent in English, both spoken and written. Any other language will be considered as a plus.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Tourism, Communications, or another related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience also accepted.
  • Professional, positive, “can do,” and empathetic attitude to represent the company well; and to represent’ destination management needs to all stakeholders while working collaboratively to find scalable solutions
  • Ability to build solid relationships at all levels and to motivate.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and analytical, with good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based applications
  • Effective and clear communicator

Working hours & travel
Your standard working hours are 40 hours per week, this will be either Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday dependant on time of the year you must ensure you are available to accommodate these changes when needed. As the travel industry is a 7 day week industry, there will be times when emergencies require your assistance out of typical office hours/days. This role is based out of our Rome office & hybrid working is facilitated.
Contract typology
Fixed term contract (1 year), with the possibility of being employed permanently
