Description

As a Product Management Specialist, you'll apply your insurance expertise to the drafting, review and enhancement of Product Disclosure Statements (PDSs) across IAG's Retail Insurance portfolio. Working alongside Product, Claims, Legal and Customer Communication teams, you'll play a key role in simplifying complex policy wording and improving how insurance information is communicated to customers. This is an opportunity to combine your technical insurance knowledge with strong written communication skills to create clearer, more accessible documentation that supports customer understanding, meets regulatory requirements and delivers better customer outcomes.

This is a fixed-term full-time role based in multiple locations across Australia.

What You'll Do

  • Review and redraft Product Disclosure Statements (PDSs) and policy wordings across a range of Retail Insurance niche products.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Claims teams and subject matter experts to ensure documentation aligns with product intent, customer outcomes and business requirements.
  • Work closely with copywriters and AI-generated drafting outputs to refine content and deliver high-quality customer communications.
  • Translate complex insurance concepts, coverage details and policy conditions into language that is clear, concise and easy for customers to understand.
  • Support governance, review and approval processes to ensure documentation changes meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate across Product, Claims, Legal and Customer Communication teams to deliver consistent and customer-focused insurance documentation.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience working within insurance, underwriting, claims, product management or a related financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and how they operate throughout the policy lifecycle.
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting or drafting policy wording, insurance documentation or customer-facing communications.
  • Knowledge of financial services regulation, governance and compliance obligations.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to simplify technical information for different audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions.
