We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Product Management Summer Intern to support our Product Management organization. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enterprise software product strategy, market research, competitive analysis, and customer engagement within the federal technology sector. Position Overview The Product Management Summer Intern will work closely with Unison’s product leadership team to gather market insights, analyze competitive offerings, assess customer needs, and support product prioritization efforts. The intern will contribute directly to strategic initiatives that influence the future direction of Unison’s products. This role is ideal for a business school student interested in product management, technology strategy, enterprise software, consulting, market research, or government technology markets. Responsibilities Conduct primary market research through interviews with current customers, prospects, partners, and industry stakeholders. Summarize interview findings and identify key customer needs, challenges, and emerging trends. Perform competitive intelligence research on software providers serving federal agencies and government contractors. Analyze competitor products, positioning, pricing approaches, capabilities, and go-to-market strategies. Support product managers in evaluating product enhancement opportunities and strategic initiatives. Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing customer feedback, product usage data, and market information. Develop presentations, reports, and recommendations for product leadership. Contribute to product prioritization discussions by providing data-driven insights and business analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership. Qualifications Currently enrolled in an MBA program or upper-level undergraduate business, economics, management, public policy, or related degree program. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to conduct professional interviews and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Interest in enterprise software, SaaS, product management, and/or government technology markets. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in consulting, market research, product management, strategy, business analysis, or technology-related internships. Familiarity with government procurement, acquisition, or technology markets. Experience analyzing markets, competitors, or customer feedback.
