Role: Product Manager - AI/ML - Contract Role Seniority: Mid and Senior levels Day rate: Inside IR35 - Rate TBC Project duration: 4-12 months Location: Hybrid in/around London We’re supporting a consultancy that specialises in business and digital transformation, known for fostering strong relationships while designing and delivering large-scale, complex transformations worldwide. They're seeking an experienced AI Product Manager to identify and develop AI use cases (both GenAI and traditional ML) across the client's finance and HR departments. You will serve as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and thieir internal and external data science and engineering teams. Tasks Identify and evaluate AI opportunities across finance and HR functions Manage relationships with business stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners Define product requirements and strategy for AI initiatives Oversee the development lifecycle from concept to implementation Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution Requirements An independent consultant Proven experience managing AI products in a professional setting Strong understanding of AI/ML architecture and technical approaches Expertise in one or more of the following: Model development frameworks and best practices; Prompt engineering and GenAI optimization; Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems; or Agent orchestration and agentic AI Ability to evaluate and communicate the pros and cons of different technical approaches Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders
