At Australian Unity, we’re committed to creating products and services that deliver real value to our customers and communities. Our Wealth & Capital Markets (W&CM) business spans Funds Management, Social Infrastructure, and Life; and we’re looking for a Product Manager, Governance to play a critical role in ensuring our products are well-managed, compliant, and designed with the customer in mind.
This is a dynamic role where you’ll collaborate with business units and specialist teams (including Product Innovation, Legal, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Digital) to deliver customer-centric, commercial product outcomes. You’ll act as a subject matter expert (SME) across the product lifecycle, ensuring governance, decision-making, and operational processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partnering with Product Innovation & Execution teams to review and update disclosure documents.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the business to translate objectives into customer-focused product solutions.
  • Supporting ongoing product lifecycle management activities, identifying opportunities to simplify and improve processes.
  • Contributing to the Design & Distribution Obligations (DDO) across the product suite.
  • Supporting key forums, including the Product Management Forum and related sub-groups.

Key responsibilities Include:

  • Provide governance expertise to drive effective product lifecycle management.
  • Build strong relationships across the platform to influence outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process uplift, automation, and scalability.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory updates and recommend best practice adoption.
  • Analyse workflows and performance metrics to support data-driven decisions.
  • Act as an SME on major projects, guiding change and embedding improvements.
  • Contribute to incident management and remediation activities with a governance lens.
  • Review and refine policies, procedures, and the control environment.
