JOB SUMMARY:

As a Product Manager – Cabs, you will lead the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of cab systems across multiple machine platforms. This role is pivotal in delivering customer-centric solutions that enhance operator experience, safety, and productivity.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, marketing, and dealer networks to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful execution from concept to market. Your work will directly influence the design and integration of cab technologies, including HVAC, controls, ergonomics, visibility, and electronic systems.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.

KNOWLEDGE OF PRODUCT LINE:

  • Deep understanding of cab systems, including HVAC, ergonomics, visibility, and operator interfaces
  • Proven working knowledge managing product lifecycle from concept through end-of-life within a complex portfolio.
  • Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing methods including fabrication, assembly, electrical testing and leak testing.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar’s machine platforms and how cab systems integrate across product families.

KNOWLEDGE OF CUSTOMERS:

  • Knowledge gathering and synthesizing customer feedback to inform product design and enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of operator needs, dealer expectations, and fleet management challenges.
  • Ability to translate customer pain points into product requirements and value propositions.
  • Proven success in building relationships with key customers and stakeholders to validate product direction.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE:

$169,320.00 - $253,920.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the product roadmap for cab systems aligned with customer needs and enterprise goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through product development cycles, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.
  • Advocate for cab system innovations that improve operator comfort, safety, and machine performance.
  • Manage product lifecycle activities including NPI (New Product Introduction), CPI (Continuous Product Improvement), service strategies, and end-of-life planning.
  • Partner with dealers and customers to gather insights and validate product concepts.
  • Monitor product performance and support issue resolution through collaboration with engineering and product support teams.
  • Drive collaboration across RI and CI to enhance user experience by providing consistent and intuitive operator interface(s)
