Job Details Job Location: Headquarters - Sacramento, CA Salary Range: $125000.00 - $125000.00 Salary/year The Product Manager will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and an innovative mindset for filling them. A Product Manager collaborates with others to define the strategy, roadmap, and features for training courses, training programs, and HR products based on customer needs and trends in the marketplace. By analyzing the market and competition, the Product Manager helps craft a product vision that delivers unique value to customers and the business. The role is highly collaborative and cross-functional — responsibilities can encompass product marketing, market research, data trends & analysis, and forecasting. Responsibilities Define the product strategy and roadmap. Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI. Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends in the marketplace and customer needs. Help develop product objectives and marketing strategies. Work with cross-functional teams to help drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements, roadmap development, and product launch. Work with cross-functional teams to help translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by project and technical teams. Write Product Requirements and Market Requirements documents as needed. Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases. Manage products throughout lifecycle from concept to end-of-life. Responsible for the design and development of training courses and programs (in close partnership with Legal team, and in collaboration with other cross-functional teams. Write the business case for investments and gain internal approval. Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships. Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition. Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships in key clients (if B2B). Partner with Marketing team to develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates CalChamber across primary market segments. Qualifications At least 5 years of strong experience in a dynamic product management role. Proven track record of success in building training courses and programs. Strong data analytics skills. Ability to contribute to strategic planning and implementation. High effectiveness in collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience in delivering effective product marketing strategies. Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills. Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in product design or engineering. Previous experience in software and web development. Proven success as a product developer in a non-managerial role.
