JOB SUMMARY

As a Product Manager, you will work on the Product Management team and be responsible for driving the development and delivery of Contruent software for the capital projects industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, QA, and Dev Ops to manage the delivery of product initiatives that support our clients in managing and forecasting project costs. You will work with the rest of the product management team to ensure that products meet market needs and align with business goals. You will help shape the product definition, prioritize features, and manage the product backlog to ensure timely and successful product releases.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
  • Education or domain experience in capital construction projects as a field engineer, project controller, or scheduler a plus
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role in a software development environment
  • Proven experience in managing product backlogs, project management, working with agile development teams, and delivering software products
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (i.e. Scrum)
  • Experience with product management tools (i.e., JIRA, Aha!, Trello)
Responsibilities
  • Work with small multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll partner closely with UX, engineering, product, and QA as part of an agile team to deliver new software capabilities for users.
  • Collaborate with senior product management to translate high-level goals and strategies into actionable product requirements and user stories.
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify user stories, and ensure alignment with overall product objectives.
  • Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings to ensure successful sprint execution.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the development team, providing clarifications and making timely decisions to address any blockers.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and internal teams, to gather feedback and ensure their needs are met.
  • Communicate product updates, timelines, and changes effectively to all relevant parties.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure that product features meet quality standards.
  • Review and validate deliverables to ensure they meet user requirements and business objectives.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
