Job Description Job Function: The Product Manager - Data Center USA is responsible for the build-up of a dedicated new product and solution portfolio for the North American data center market and applications. Portfolio steering and business intelligence. Reports to: Global Head of Product Management Responsibilities and Objectives: Build-up and steering of dedicated new product & solution portfolio for the data center market & applications Support & participate in UL product & safety standardization efforts and certifications Business & Market Intelligence Ensuring the transfer of technical and application know-how across the group (exchange of application examples, special applications, new products, etc.) Contributing to the development of the PTD market and supporting the expansion of the customer base Close cooperation and alignment with the global Product Managers, Engineers, Sales & business development Creates market and competitor analyses and market strategies; monitors the competition Creates specifications for the development of new products, taking into account customer/market requirements, competition, national and international standards, costs, and the company's own capabilities/resources, and oversees their implementation Creates and maintains the PTD product roadmap Maintains and manages the technical documentation for existing and new products Ensures that the results of market and customer analyses are incorporated into the products throughout their entire lifecycle. Participates in and is responsible for the execution and management of product development projects Develops sales-oriented training and presentation materials (e.g., for sales, customers, etc.) Organizes and supports training sessions, workshops, etc. Supports Marketing Communications in the design and presentation of technical and general content for advertisements, mailings, and online presentations of product group components Plans and schedules marketing activities for the existing product portfolio and for new product launches in collaboration with the global and local stake holders Adheres to all safety, quality and environmental standards Secondary Tasks: Supports & Assists in monitoring ongoing global PTD Data Center key projects (inquiries, quotes, orders) Supports Sales and Business Development in developing, implementing, and continuously optimizing the sales and marketing strategy Supports Stäubli's internal departments in handling customer complaints Monitors the market and regularly reports on market developments, products, competitors, new trends, target achievement, and important events Supports Business Development and Sales in retaining, developing, and engaging key customers worldwide through on-site visits and hosting them at headquarters Supports new product launches Assists with controlling and reporting local sales activities, including revenue, growth, market, product, and customer-related targets for the sales and segment managers Supports the creation of sales budgets and forecasts Qualifications Degree in engineering with experience in sales, marketing and/or project management (ideally further training in product management) or business administration with very sound basic knowledge of electrical engineering and mechanics Ideally experience with complex electrical power connectors and/or systems, as well as UL certifications and standards Experience with Office 365, CRM (e.g. Aurea), ERP (e.g. SAP) English native speaker or similar level of language proficiency.
