Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Durabuilt Windows and Doors is looking for a seasoned Product Manager to champion the product process with its internal teams and experts.
This is a foundational role that will define how we bring products to market, with a strong understanding of the stage-gate product process, as well as the ability to make recommendations and conduct market analysis.
You will be the central facilitator, connector, and executor of this cross-functional process—ensuring clarity, accountability, and momentum at every stage to ensure we have the most competitive product in market.
Whether the initiative is a brand-new in-house innovation, a pass-through product, or a change to an existing offering, this role is responsible for ensuring the right people are engaged at the right time, the right decisions are made, and that the process flows with discipline and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Strategic Product Management

  • Bring product management skills and expertise to facilitate excellent cross-functional decision making.
  • Ensure Durabuilt has the most competitive products in market.

Lead Product Management Process Implementation

  • Own the full implementation of Durabuilt’s stage-gate product management process (idea → concept → prototype → build/execute → launch → post-launch).
  • Define and document stage-specific objectives, stakeholders, decision points, and success metrics.
  • Champion process discipline across teams and projects.

Facilitate Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Act as the primary facilitator across sales, marketing, R&D, operations (production, maintenance, quality, service, installation, continuous improvement, and others), and leadership teams.
  • Lead key product management meetings, ensuring each stage has clear inputs, owners, and expected outputs.
  • Create visibility and accountability across teams to maintain progress.

Manage Product Pipeline & Project Execution

  • Maintain a master tracker of all active product initiatives (new, pass-through, enhancements, etc.).
  • Ensure projects move smoothly through gates, resolving bottlenecks and risks proactively.
  • Coordinate resource needs and timelines across teams to ensure realistic execution.

Drive Market and Customer Insight

  • Own all competitive and market intelligence across all product lines.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking, market research, customer interviews, and product comparisons.
  • Translate insights into actionable inputs for product design, configuration, and messaging.
  • Partner with Marketing on product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and value propositions.
  • Own customer feedback loops before and after launch.

Optimize and Govern the System

  • Build and refine documentation templates, dashboards, reporting cadences, and workflows.
  • Track KPIs and process performance, and lead retrospectives to improve stage-gate effectiveness.
