JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. U.S. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related science/technology discipline, plus 2 years of experience in job offered or as Associate Product Manager, Electronics/Electrical Engineer or related occupation.

  2. Must have 2 years’ experience with:

  • Two-way radios & wireless systems technology;
  • Project management, and business analysis;
  • Project Management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile;
  • Managing electronic software product infrastructure lifecycle;
  • Software Applications: Microsoft Office Applications; Jira; and Helix Core/Perforce Helix;
  • Constructing and managing teams within business units.

Responsibilities
  • Manage company’s entire portfolio of two-way radios and wireless systems technology products (traditional and online), championing the product line throughout its life cycle, including sustaining activities that encompass product washout and rejuvenation (10% of time).
  • Analyze electronics systems and identify product requirements to engineering by generating Product Requirements which include technical performance, features, agency approvals, cost targets, expected customer use and philosophy of configuration, manufacturing/sourcing, and service (10% of time).
  • Applying high-reliability Waterfall methodologies for phased programs, coordinate and lead creation and maintenance of the product infrastructure roadmap, including planned releases, new product launches, and end-of-life product schedules, conferring with multiple departments and incorporating management input (30% of time).
  • Utilize JIRA, Perforce Helix, Microsoft Office Applications, and custom software tools in performance of data and business intelligence analysis to identify internal support needs from field sales, marketing, engineering, and other sources, and define fit between business unit competencies and market/customer needs (10% of time).
  • Coordinate and contribute to marketing collateral generation, seeking feedback from sales, customers, and internal operations to initiate product refinements in order to maximize commercial success (5% of time).
  • Interact with and manage relationships with the third-party vendors that provides product to EFJC for resale (10% of time).
  • Oversee and manage product catalogue, and perform product setup in configuration management for easy ordering (5% of time).
  • Review and update product costs and pricing on a periodic basis or as-needed basis given guidance on margin goals from management (10% of time).
  • Provide RFP assistance and direction related to requirements satisfaction, product availability, pricing review, and identification of commitment liabilities (10% of time).
    Requires up to 10% US travel, with rare occasion international travel.
