Description

We are looking for

To further develop our mobile app portfolio in Germany and internationally, we are looking for a Product Manager – App Subscriptions & Growth (m/f/d) . In this role, you will develop our apps from digital print equivalents into standalone, data-driven subscription products with a user experience that delights people.

You are a results-oriented individual with deep product and conversion expertise and a desire to actively participate in day-to-day operations. You will work closely with our Digital Product Owner, external UX/UI agencies, and development partners. You will represent the product and business perspective, guide the roadmap, and contribute to the long-term development of entirely new digital products, which you will help us bring to fruition.

Your tasks

  • Customer-centric product strategy & roadmap: You are responsible for the alignment, prioritization and monetization of our digital products and apps with the goal of creating an inspiring app experience.
  • Developing new products: You identify potential for new digital products, develop initial ideas into viable concepts, and implement them with the team.
  • Conversion & Funnel Optimization: You analyze the user journey from initial contact to subscription completion and develop data-driven hypotheses for onboarding flows, paywalls and in-app experiences.
  • Requirements management: You create clear Product Requirement Documents and UX briefings, moderate prioritization workshops, and closely monitor the implementation down to the last detail.
  • Partner & agency management: You manage external UX/UI and development service providers from a product and functionality perspective and ensure compliance with our strategy.
  • Scaling & Platform Logic: You think in cross-platform standards  so that features can be used efficiently across multiple markets.

Your qualification

  • Professional experience:  You bring several years of experience in app product management for iOS and Android, ideally in the field of digital subscriptions, paid content or freemium models.
  • KPI orientation:  You know the key performance indicators of digital business models such as conversion rate, retention, churn, ARPU and LTV and derive concrete measures from them.
  • UX & agency experience:  You have experience managing external UX/UI designers and are proficient in using design systems and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Tool knowledge:  You are familiar with in-app purchase architectures from Apple and Google, as well as analytics and testing tools such as GA4, Amplitude, or RevenueCat.
  • Language skills:  You communicate fluently in German, at least at C1 level, and well in English for international coordination.

Your skills

  • Product thinking : You have a feel for relevant user needs and develop new product ideas from them that are economically and user-centrically convincing.
  • Analytical & Hands-on : You combine strategic thinking with a willingness to delve deeply into details, wireframes and data analysis.
  • Communication and assertiveness skills : You convincingly represent professional arguments and resolve conflicting goals such as speed versus quality in a factual and solution-oriented manner.

our range

  • Scope for creativity: You independently manage a key growth area and visibly contribute to the further development of existing apps as well as new digital products.
  • Flat hierarchies: You'll find short decision-making processes and a clear focus on results instead of endless rounds of voting.
  • Data and user-based culture: We make decisions based on customer feedback, usability tests, and real data.
  • A motivated environment: You can expect an open-minded team that develops modern media products with speed, curiosity and a joy of experimentation.
