We have an excellent opportunity for a Product Manager - Fire & Life Safety
Clopay Corporation is currently recruiting within our Strategic Marketing Department for a Product Manager to develop, execute and own strategy for one of our critical business segments; Fire & Life Safety for Clopay, Cornell and Cookson brand products. This will include developing a deep understanding of relevant building code, product and segments to keep Clopay Corporation as an industry leader of life safety products. This will include an understanding of the following, but not limited to IFC, IBC, ICC, NFPA, DASMA, ASCE, Miami Dade/TDI, etc.
The role will require the candidate to identify, develop and execute new product development projects, participate in product planning and promotional initiatives as well as product management responsibilities. The successful candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, and have the skills to navigate and summarize complex code requirements and translate them into our product marketing business strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an up-to-date status in relevant code and standards development to share with the organization for incorporation into strategic product development and planning
  • Actively interview and research through dealer, code body, architectural and other professional channels to identify product innovation or development opportunities
  • Have the capacity to navigate financial analysis, forecasts, pricing strategies and competitive analysis for new product initiatives.
  • Own and perform product portfolio management for assigned segment, identifying potential gaps and prospects within channels and markets.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and amass for easy reference.
  • Utilize StageGate process for New Product Development initiatives
  • Act as the link between departments to communicate features and benefits to support marketing strategy.
  • Development of marketing plans including product launches, technical documentation, demonstrations, and promotions as required.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing Communications teams to develop effective marketing campaigns for launched products.
