Job Description Role Purpose Grow top line, bottom line and strengthen the leadership through market share gain as per 5-year plan To have clear understanding of market drivers and assumptions for the country and design winning crop strategies for the country To create portfolio strategies for mid and long term along with global and cross functional teams & effectively manage various portfolio forums. Set clear direction through crop and brand plans having clear five-year business plan considering differentiated brand categorization approach. Accountabilities Main accountability of this role is to build mid- and long-term unique portfolio which is aligned with market drivers and assumptions delivering five-year business plan – strengthen top line, bottom line & market share Set clear direction from brand categorization perspective for the disease control portfolio at country level, develop brand and portfolio strategies for assigned active ingredients from portfolio development perspective Lead development of 5-year brand and crop plans defining portfolio evolution, product launches, product positioning & pricing approach, setting clear direction to divisional teams Work closely with global/ regional stakeholders for new brand launches, ensure NPI processes are being followed, participate in the important events of NPI process – co-create the launch strategy and deliver NPI successfully Develop, manage, and implement Product Life-cycle Management strategy and actions in collaboration with Global Assets and 3rd party team – brand ladder, license in and out direction Collaboration with Production & Supply teams for Production & Supply forecasting and plan the supplies for short and long term – engagement through SNOP meetings Qualifications Critical experience Master of business administration through reputed business school, agriculture background preferred 8-10 years of relevant experience in marketing & sales roles. Successful track record of delivering the results – at least past three years Proven team leadership, influencing skills and working with cross functional teams Knowledge of basics of marketing A clear view on basic principles of marketing, understanding of the customer behaviors and how crop portfolio strategies can be planned to address customer pain points Skills to influence cross-functional teams The Disease control product manager should be able to influence various key stakeholders to make quick decisions/choices and get stakeholders moving down the execution path. A proven history of getting things done. Past experience in both strategy influence and execution remains critical for this role, co-creating the strategy with teams along with the roadmap and then leveraging the team to execute the plans A track record of decisiveness. The role needs the leader to effectively influence decisions, balancing the trade-offs keeping in mind long-term results.
