Responsibilities

THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

We are currently looking for a Product Manager to manage products aligned to our gas fired power generation product portfolio.
The Product Manager will be responsible for defining, planning and executing the product strategy for all centrally managed products in the gas-fired power generation product portfolio and for supporting our regional businesses on the selection of locally managed products.
This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in product management, market analysis, and cross-functional team leadership. Aggreko operates in a fast-moving, highly commercial environment. To be successful in this role, the applicant will need to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can weigh up the commercial impact of balancing competing demands in cost, time and engineering complexity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key focus areas for the Product Manager (Gas Products) role are:

  • Product strategy development: responsible for developing and communicating the product vision and roadmap, aligned to strategic direction of the business. This includes identifying market opportunities, customer needs, defining product requirements and specifying the skills and competences for their delivery.
  • Product planning: responsible for ensuring business sponsorship for new product introductions and commitment of all business resources required to realise the business case. Owner of Product management and execution during its entire lifecycle (from business case to product succession). Ensure global specifications (covering both technical and sustainability aspects) are available for our key products, having overall responsibility for recommending make or buy options.
  • Product execution: Collaborate and work with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing options and to ensure product delivery (on time, at quality and cost) and skills & resources required to deliver the Product strategy, having overall accountability for the outcome of those teams.
  • Stakeholder management: responsible for communicating with key stakeholders (regional customers, suppliers, executives, sales teams, developers) and for acting as Voice of Customer within the function. This includes gathering feedback, managing expectations, identifying regional stakeholders (regional Product Management) and manage them as a community.
  • Competitive advantage & analysis: responsible for understanding the competitive landscape and maintaining commercial & technical understanding of industry trends and market drivers, maintaining strategic supplier relationships and identifying new market opportunities.
