An important mission of the Identity and Network Access team at Microsoft is to make the cloud easy to manage and safe to use. A critical aspect is managing the lifecycle of secrets, certificates, and public key infrastructure (PKI). The platform for these functions underlies every cloud service at Microsoft. These capabilities must be robust and simple to use, since it is essential to maintaining the security and availability of cloud services.
We are looking for a Product Manager II to advance the secrets, certificates, and PKI management platform. You will work with customers both inside and outside Microsoft to identify pain points and design experiences for new features to address these problems and see the solutions through to completion in partnership with your engineering team. Along the way you will learn a lot about cloud services of all kinds, identity technology, and enterprise customer needs in cloud security. You will find creative ways to drive the adoption of your features so that organizations improve their security posture.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

ADDITIONAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working on security, identity, authentication, or authorization-related products and features.
    Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with your engineering team, product teams within Microsoft, and customers to understand requirements, pain points, and opportunities to innovate.
  • Prioritize features and define the roadmap for your area.
  • Employ telemetry and data analysis to measure adoption and satisfaction of your features, and use experimentation to find the most effective ways to improve key metrics.
  • Analyze competition and monitor industry trends with respect to your area.
