Description
Overview The Azure Deployments team is looking for a Product Management IC3 to shape the future of how developers—inside and outside Microsoft—build and deploy Azure infrastructure. We own Azure’s flagship open-source "infrastructure-as-code" (IaC) tooling, including the Bicep language, Azure’s Terraform support (Azure Resource Manager [AzureRM] and Azure Application Programming Interface [AzAPI] providers), and the internal deployment orchestrators that power Azure at scale. In this role, you’ll drive high-impact capabilities across the Bicep and Deployments ecosystem. You’ll partner directly with major customers and Azure service teams to deliver secure, efficient, planet-scale deployment experiences. You’ll own the full product lifecycle—customer discovery, roadmap definition, feature delivery, and adoption insights—while collaborating across engineering, design, and Product Management (PM) to solve complex technical challenges. You’ll also help guide some of Azure’s most active open-source communities. We are a rigorous, empathetic, data-informed, and collaborative team seeking a Product Manager who shares those values and is passionate about influencing the future of Azure infrastructure deployment. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. Responsibilities Define and drive product requirements by translating customer needs, insights, and business goals into clear, actionable specifications. Partner with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features on time and aligned with product strategy. Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to validate scenarios, gather feedback, and represent the voice of the customer. Use data, telemetry, and customer signals to measure feature adoption, identify opportunities, and guide product decisions. Manage feature execution end-to-end, from planning and prioritization through launch, documentation, and post-release iteration. Communicate status, risks, and decisions effectively to maintain alignment across teams and ensure shared understanding of product direction. Contribute to long-term product vision and roadmap, supporting the development of multi-release plans and strategic investments. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. 2+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn). 2+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product). #azurecorejobs Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year.
