The Product Management team at Shopee is the key focal point between the business, engineering and design teams. The team is responsible for implementing strategy, road maps and features, while adhering to business goals. It covers all functions including but not limited to Financial Services, Supply Chain, Search, Recommendation, Advertising, Order, Promotion, User, Anti-Fraud, Seller Service. JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Support the end-to-end development of chatbot features by contributing to idea generation, prioritization, and product analysis, while helping track post-launch performance through data insights.
  • Assist in conducting market and competitor research to uncover trends and opportunities that inform product strategy and planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product managers, engineers, designers, and analysts—to ensure smooth project execution and clear communication.
  • Work with data science and engineering teams to explore the use of LLM and AI models for improving chatbot interactions, recommendations, and user targeting.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Final-year or penultimate students currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information System, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Proficient in English, and conversational in Mandarin in order to collaborate with stakeholders based in China
  • Comfortable working with data using SQL or other analytical tools.
  • Strong ownership, bias towards actions, get things done independently
  • Analytical and quantitative reasoning
  • Good critical thinking and data-based decision-making skills
  • Adaptable and open minded, able to thrive in dynamic environments
  • Experience in using data science and machine learning to solve problems is preferred
  • Prior product management experience or domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Chatbot technology, recommendation systems, user segmentation & targeting, and user experience optimization.
  • Full-time interns preferred
  • Part-time interns who can commit at least 3 working days a week are also welcome to apply
